U. S. officials announced the U. Food and Drug Administration will begin its review of a Viagra-like pill, known as a Viagra®, as early as this week, a spokesman for the agency said. The FDA’s review will be the first in Canada to do so, and it will begin after U. and Canadian drug regulatory bodies have concluded that the drug is medically equivalent to sildenafil, the active ingredient in the erectile dysfunction drug Viagra.
